Apple has greatly increased iCloud storage rates in many countries yesterday, 9to5mac reports. This does not concern (yet ?) countries paying in US dollars or euros, but many other regions are affected by notable increases. In the United Kingdom, for example, the price for 2 storage TB increased from £ 6.99 to £ 8.99, or 25% increase. This also explodes in Brazil and Colombia (+40%), Denmark (+30%), Egypt (+60%), Norway (+20%), Poland (+25%), in Romania (+ 11%), in Sweden (33%) or even in Turkey where prices have moved downright.

In France and in the euro zone, you can always afford 50 GB for € 0.99 per month, 200 GB for € 2.99 per month and 2 TB for € 9.99 per month. With the end of the service my flow of photos which allowed iCloud to be used until Monday to synchronize its photos between its various devices, Apple should record an upsurge in subscriptions and this price increase is rather unwelcome.

In view of the current economic context and after updating the price grids of the App Store and upgraded certain products, Apple has just increased the price of iCloud storage in several countries !

Thus, iCloud prices have been revised upwards at United Kingdom and in several countries: in Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sweden, Tanzania, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates (It sounds almost like an evening of Eurovision. )).

For the countries concerned, the monthly storage price has increased by around 25 %. No change in France for the moment (neither in the United States) ! But that could well be our turn soon, since some European countries have just taken a few euros.

What iCloud includes+ ?

As a reminder, in addition to storage, iCloud + offers several features, such as Private Relay and Homekit Secure Video. In its free version, Apple offers a very chick 5 GB of storage, unchanged since the introduction of iCloud in 2011.

On the other hand, if the increase was substantial, this could push users to think when purchasing their next iPhone (the iPhone 15 for example) and to invest in higher storage, which would not depend on iCloud or to better resell your iPhone.
