Additional subscribers benefit from the same advantages as other Netflix subscribers:

Differences

Main differences between the account of an additional subscriber and a classic account:

  • The additional subscriber can look at Netflix on the device of his choice, but on one screen at a time.
  • The additional subscriber can also download titles, but only on a smartphone or tablet at the same time.
  • It has only one profile and cannot create others.
    • It can be a new profile or an eligible profile transferred by the account holder who invited the additional subscriber.

    Management of an additional subscriber

    If you need to add an additional subscriber or manage one, follow the steps below according to your role.

    Netflix subscribers benefiting from a standard or premium offer can add an additional subscriber by buying an additional subscriber option.

    • Those benefiting from a standard offer can add 1 additional subscriber.
    • Those benefiting from a premium offer can add 2 additional subscribers.

    Additional subscribers cannot be added to group partner offers or to accounts invoiced by third parties.

    The addition of an additional subscriber takes place in 3 steps:

    1. Buy an additional subscriber option.

    3. Your additional subscriber creates his own account and uses it to watch Netflix.

    The instructions below detail the procedure.

    On a web browser

    1. Go to Netflix.Com/Accountowner/Addextramember.
      • You can also access additional subscribers> buy an additional subscriber option on your account page.
    2. Check and confirm the new amount of your payment and the new billing date.
      • The option will not be billed to you as long as you have not confirmed the new amount.
      • Since Netflix is ​​a prepaid service, your billing date will be modified on the basis of the remaining balance of your previous payment.
    3. Select Activate the Additional Subscriber .
    4. Configure your additional subscriber indicating his name, email address and name. (We will use this information to send him the invitation emails.))
    5. Indicate if you want to transfer an existing profile or let the additional subscriber create a new profile.
      • Follow these steps to activate profile transfer when inviting an additional subscriber.
    6. The additional subscriber receives an email from Netflix containing a single invitation link (you will receive a notification as soon as the additional subscriber has activated his account).
      • You can also click on additional subscribers> Manage additional subscribers to copy the invitation link and send it directly.

    From a TV

    Select a profile. If you see the message to continue sharing your account with another person, please add an additional subscriber, proceed as follows:

    1. Select Find out more .
    2. Choose activate the additional subscriber or access Netflix . (The new monthly amount to be paid and the new invoicing date are displayed.))
      • If you select activate the additional subscriber, the new monthly amount will be debited to you on the new invoicing date.
    3. You will see the message more than a step: which is your additional subscriber ? Select next .
    4. Enter the additional subscriber phone number and select Send .
      • We will then send him an SMS containing an invitation link valid for 24 hours.
      • Select access Netflix to return to the service home page.
    5. The additional subscriber only has to press the invitation link to create an account and name his profile. He can then take advantage of Netflix !

    Add an additional subscriber to an account billed via a group offer or a third -party partner

    Additional subscribers cannot be added to group partner offers or to accounts invoiced by third parties.

    If you change payment methods so that you can add additional subscribers, you must wait for your next Netflix renewal date to be able to do so.

    Associate a group offer with an account with additional subscriber

    If your account has additional subscriber (s) and want to switch your payment method on the group offer of a partner, you can associate your account by following the instructions of Netflix and your operator. Given that it is impossible to add additional subscribers to partner group offers or to accounts billed by a third party, we will immediately cancel your additional subscribers upon activation of the grouped offer. These will receive confirmation by e-mail.

    Transfer a profile to the account of an additional subscriber

    When buying an additional subscriber option, you can transfer the existing subscriber profile so that it keeps its recommendations, its history, its list, its saved parts, its settings, etc.

    From your browser, follow the steps below to transfer a profile when buying an additional subscriber option:

    1. Access Netflix.com/YouracCount and identify yourself.
    2. Go to additional subscribers>Buy an additional subscriber option .
    3. Follow the above steps of the “Add an additional subscriber” procedure.

    Change additional subscribers and delete the current

    You can replace one additional subscriber with another at any time, within the limit of twice per invoicing period.

    From a web browser, follow the steps below to modify an additional subscriber:

    2. Select Delete the beneficiary .
      • If your additional subscriber has not activated his account, select Cancel the invitation .
    3. Confirm that you want to delete the additional selected subscriber.
    4. Confirmation is displayed at the top of the page and is sent by e-mail to you as well as the additional subscriber.
    5. You can invite another person by selecting Configure the invitation .

    Cancel an additional subscriber option

    You can cancel an additional subscriber option at any time.

    • Once the option has been canceled, the additional subscriber can look at Netflix until the end of the current billing period.
    • You can always add the person again to an additional subscriber option available, or this one can create their own account.

    Cancel an additional subscriber option

    From your browser, follow the steps below to cancel an additional subscriber option:

    1. Go to Netflix.Com/Manage extramembers.
      • You can also access additional subscribers> Manage additional subscribers on your account page.
    2. Select Cancel the option .
    3. Select Cancel the additional subscriber option on the next screen.
    4. You will see a confirmation at the top of the page which indicates the last date on which your additional subscriber can watch Netflix. Yourself and the additional subscriber will also receive a confirmation email.

    Reactivate an additional subscriber option

    If you cancel an additional subscriber option while your billing period is not completed, you can return to this cancellation and restore access to the additional subscriber by reactivating the option.

    Additional subscribers cannot reactivate the option or use your payment method.

    From your browser, follow the steps below to reactivate an additional subscriber option:

    1. Go to Netflix.Com/Manage extramembers.
      • You can also access additional subscribers> Manage additional subscribers on your account page.
    2. Select restart .
    3. A message at the top of the page will confirm the reactivation of the additional subscriber option. Yourself and the additional subscriber will also receive a confirmation email.

    If you have canceled an additional subscriber option and the invoicing period concerned is completed, follow the instructions in the section “Add an additional subscriber” above.

    Cancel the main account but keep the additional subscriber option

    Additional subscribers can only be added as part of a standard or premium offer . If the main account is canceled, any additional subscriber is also canceled.

    Additional subscribers cannot be added to group partner offers or to accounts invoiced by third parties.
