If you are connected as a guest or standard user, Windows will not allow you to install the driver. Some companies do not allow users to regulate their facilities and how they can handle system and applications parameters. In this case, you may need to contact your system administrator to help you install the pilot.

Pilot installation procedure from NVIDIA

If you are connected as a guest or standard user, Windows will not allow you to install the driver. In this case, you may need to contact your system administrator to help you install the pilot.

Before you start

1. Create a backup of your start -up volume. For more information, see procedure for creating a system image in Windows 10.
2. Identify the brand and model of your NVIDIA GPU before downloading the appropriate driver to make sure you have appropriate drivers.

Installation of Nvidia drivers

Leave all Adobe applications running on your desktop.

Confirm the type of pilot you have. You have two possibilities: standard and DCH. To determine your type of pilot, open the Nvidia configuration panel and click system information in the lower left corner of the configuration panel. In the System Information dialog box, search for the type of pilot next to the type of pilot field . If you don’t see this field, you probably use a standard driver.

NVIDIA DCH display drivers are supported by the April 2018 update of Windows 10 X64 (version 1803, version of the operating system 17134) and subsequent versions. To find out more about the different types of pilots, follow this link.

From there, there are three options on how to find and update your graphics card drivers.

1. Using the menu below, select the information and click Search .

2. Once finished, you should see GeForce Game Ready Driver, Press Download .
   • 
3. When the installation is finished, make sure the game is completely closed and restart your computer.
4. Your pilots are now officially up to date.

1. Below “Nvidia Driver Downloads” is the option that automatically searches for the current pilot version on your computer.
2. Click on the green button that indicates “graphics pilots” .
3. Once finished, there will be an option to download the pilots. If automatic search has failed, try looking for the driver manually via option 1. When the installation is finished, make sure the game is completely closed and restart your computer. Your pilots are now officially up to date.

Update using Nvidia GeForce Experience (in English only):

1. At the bottom right of the taskbar, you can quickly access Nvidia GeForce Experience if your system requires an update. If the icon is missing, you can look for it by typing “GeForce”.

2. At the top of the GeForce Experience window, please select Drivers .
   • 
3. Once open, you will be able to see if you miss the pilots. Select the Download green button to start updating your drivers .
4. You should now see the pilot being downloaded.

5. Once the operation is completed, you will have two options, Express or Custom . Select Express to continue.
   • 
6. This will open a “preparing to install” window while advertisements contine their cycles during loading.
   • During the installation of the new driver, it is very common for the screen to go black and reappears. This can change the size of the windows you have opened, but it is perfectly normal until the installation is finished.
7. Once finished, a window will appear to confirm the installation.

8. Window. Above GeForce Experience’s inscription (where the pilot update alert was), there should now be a message indicating “You have the latest GeForce Driver” which means that you have the latest version of the pilot.

9. When the installation is finished, make sure the game is completely closed and restart your computer.
10. Your pilots are now up to date.
