Canal+/MyCanal application on Smart TV Samsung problem resolved

Hello everyone, I struggled well to find out how to have my Canal and the UHD Canal + services on my new QE58Q60T SAMSUNG TV QLED.
So I share the info.
You must call CANAL + Customer Service, or to take a phone call.
On the banner of the already installed applications you must go to that of Canal +, there is a
Code that starts with 95. For the commissioning of it, the operator records it, we disconnect the TV and here.
From this moment it does not go much on the banner, I do not seek the my Canal application it is not there and even in the research we do not find it . Here is the solution:
Go to the Canal + application, once open we find ourselves in front of the presentation of the programs of the month in continuous video, in short chain advertising genre.
Press the 123 key with the 4 colors of the remote control, a small banner 1 2 3 4 . Appears, press this same key again and just above another banner appears, we click on finish to have access to it and it’s gone ! We have the choice for all the services we know well with the in addition 4K UHD menu, TV progress, live etc etc .

Error on the MyCanal app on Samsung TV

Hello, it’s been a few days since the MyCanal application no longer works on my Samsung television. I have the following message:
Error
An error occurred, please try again later.
I tried to reinstall the app but there is nothing to do.
I can’t delete it either.

Same problem since late afternoon on my TV The Frame.
After trying you to reinstall the channel app without result,
I managed to solve the problem by disconnecting the Box of the Sector Package.

It’s good to not be able to take advantage of it..

Ditto problem since today on the application of Samsung TV She connects but I can do nothing on it she does not load the films where the chains. On the other hand my application works on computer, PS5 and telephone.

I had the same problem after terminating a channel account, it is impossible to launch the application to hope to connect with another account. Message “An error occurred”.

As I found the solution, I allow myself to share it here, it may be used for others. No need to reset all tv settings (and other apps suddenly. )).

When you get channel, your MyCanal account continues to exist, even without rights. Connect (with computer or phone) to the MyCanal website, and in your personal info Change your account password.

After disconnecting / reconnected your TV, launch the MyCanal app. Like the password of the account which is in memory in the TV is no longer valid, this will bring you back to the application screen of the application to initiate a new connection. Obviously, do not connect with the account without rights otherwise it is the return to square one;)

I terminated my subscription a few months ago. I wonder if TV was not blocked voluntarily by canal to avoid code sharing ..

What is the range of your TV (the reference suits me too) ?

Thank you again Pierrickand, doing more research I often fall back on your messages (you must be a little fed up ;-)) but you must admit that there are several steps before understanding that MyCanal does not work on offers without Samsung TV commitments.

By the way I dug the chromecast track and I can at least tell the community that:

  • Chromecast is compatible with Samsung TV
  • That I was able to Caster MyCanal from an Android tablet but also from a fixed PC without wifi card, CAD that the cast goes through the wifi of my box (which, let’s be honest was not won in advance)
  • that I have tested a non -ultra version 3 chromecast for now, despite my 4K TV
  • that the most demanding will not be satisfied by this method: I detect mini jolts and I try to find an improvement.
  • that in my pack ave cine series et cie, there is Netflix and this faith Ci the direct app on TV Samsung works (I still have to test that of OCS)

So I come back to the main message once again: for the moment the SMASUNG TV same smart, even recent, and even with MyCanal are not part of the offers without commitments CAD of Digital/Nomads Offfres. And I find that Canal should specify it more clearly. Or at least as you suggest changing the name of the SMASUNG TV app because it is actually not the same “mycanal”.

That being said, I finally appreciate the CANAL Plus and Cie catalog 😉 !

The name of the application on Smart TV Samsung is poorly chosen.
