Choosing the right printer according to your needs

For the house or the work, the printer is an essential computer accessory. You can find different sizes, inkjet, laser, monochrome, color … Besides, this is the first question to ask when choosing yours: inkjet or laser.

The inkjet printer uses liquid ink cartridges. This is projected via tiny droplets on the sheet. Ideal for office automation, the laser printer uses ink powder and an xerographic process in order to fix the ink on paper. Photo printers offer optimal quality for your shots, especially in 10×15 format, and connect in Bluetooth to your smartphone or tablet.

To simplify, inkjet printers are very practical for daily use and very effective on photo prints. Laser printers are prized for their speed of execution, their silence and their ability to support a greater workload. Once you know which model you turn to, you can opt for a multifunction printer. This acts as a scanner, photocopier and possibly fax. You can look at the number of color or monochrome pages that it can go out per minute.

There are also Wi-Fi printers models. They allow you to print directly from a smartphone or tablet. You just have to install it next to the PC to use it.

In addition to the printer, you can use a scanner. Although these two devices can be found on a multifunction printer, know that it is possible to have a scanner alone. Desk or pocket, the scanner allows any digital document or image to be transposed on a PC or a nomadic device.

As with printers, it is possible to opt for a wireless version, very practical. You must monitor, when choosing, the resolution of the scanner. In order to have a beautiful result, it is better to choose a scanner with a number of DPIs (dot peric, or point per inch). The number of pages processed by the scanner in one minute is also a criterion of choice.

What’s the point ?

The amount of eco-participation is used to finance and improve the collection, depollution and recycling of old products.

For electrical and electronic equipment, Darty has been committed for many years to facilitate recycling.

By choosing delivery by Darty, Darty undertakes to take over your used equipment for free at your home when delivery of your new device. You can even give a second device ** to delivery people if you wish.

For deliveries by carriers or withdrawals in stores and parcel relay, you can deposit your old device* in the store closest to you.

In addition, in store of collection spaces are at your disposal to deposit in particular your used small devices and consumables (batteries, cartridges, bulbs and neon lights).

These devices are then entrusted to eco-organizations, specialized in the treatment, enhancement and elimination of WEEE.

Since 1984, Darty has been a partner of the Solidaire desire network (new company towards integration by the economy): a third of large household appliances taken up with customers are entrusted to them.
