How to pay with my smartphone ?
No need to get bored with your wallet when you leave your home ! It is possible to pay directly with your smartphone in many brands. We explain how to proceed.
A few years ago, paying with your smartphone was utopia. Today is commonplace in our society. Mobile payment is simple, fast and secure handling. It is done by putting his mobile phone on a bank card terminal. You must first install a payment application on your Android or iPhone smartphone, save the bank card to be used and identified with biometrics (facial or digital recognition system). To pay with my smartphone, it is essential to activate the Near-Field Communication function, better known under the acronym NFC. Present on most mobile phones, the NFC is a wireless communication technology to exchange data between peripherals over a maximum distance of 10 cm.
In the case of a mobile payment, the NFC allows you to pay with my contactless smartphone, just as a bank card could do so. It is not compulsory to activate mobile data or Wi-Fi to pay with my smartphone. The main difference between the NFC and a CB is the payment ceiling. Since May 10, 2020, the contactless payment amount is limited to 50 euros with a bank card, which is not the case with a smartphone. Depending on the application used and the attached bank, it is possible to pay 50, 100 or 200 euros, even much more with a smartphone. No additional costs are caused during a mobile payment with NFC.
