Screenshots are a simple and practical way to capture what is on the screen of your smartphone, then share them or make it later. But although the screenshot may seem to be a basic function, it can actually be quite complicated to do, depending on what you want to get.
For example, did you know that you could make a paramount screenshot of an entire web page or a discussion wire ? It’s possible ! Below, I present to you the basic principles as well as certain less known screenshot functions of your iPhone.
How to make a screenshot on your iPhone
1. Use the right button combination
- If you have an iPhone with a home button (Home button), you can make a screenshot by simultaneously pressing the side button on the right edge and the volume increase button. A quick pressure on the two buttons is enough.
- If your iPhone has a home button, press the side button and the home button simultaneously.
You will know that the operation has worked when your screen will flash and that a small sticker on your screen will appear in the lower left corner.
You can continue to use your iPhone, navigate to another screen to take another screenshot (which will not include the sticker of the screen which has just been captured), slide the sticker on the side of your screen or press it to modify it, share it or take a paramount screenshot.

2. Capture screen with scroll on your iPhone and save it in PDF format
You can use the screenshot scrolling function in different applications of your iPhone, such as Safari (or another browser like Firefox), the mail application or the display of a document in the file application.
When you consult one of these specific elements, the full page capture process begins with a traditional screenshot, then with the selection of the sticker.
- At the top of the following screen are two options: Screen And Full page. Select Full page.
- On the right side of the screen, you will see a very long sticker from the whole web page, email or document to give you an overview of what has been captured.
- If you need to reduce the part of the included page, select the tool Cropping at the top of the screen and make your adjustment.
- When you have finished, you are asked if you want to save the screenshot in PDF format in the application Files, Then its location.

3. Create a screen record on your iPhone
The first thing to do is make sure that the button Screen record was added to Control center of your iPhone. To do this, go to Settings, select Control center, then touch the green button with the icon more next to Screen record If it is not already listed in the section Orders included.
Then go to the application or the screen where you want to start recording. If your iPhone does not have a home button, drag the cursor from the upper right corner of your screen to display the Control center. If your iPhone has a home button, sweep up from the bottom of the screen to access the Control center.
Push the button Screen record To trigger a countdown and start saving your screen, or press the button for a long time to display other options, including the possibility of sharing your screen in a third -party application such as Twitch or Slack. If you just want to save your recording in the form of a video file, select Pictures in the list of applications.
Another option you will find on the options page is the possibility of capturing audio using the microphone of your iPhone. This allows you to tell what you are doing if you try to teach someone to do something on their phone.
Once the recording is finished, you can return to the Control center and press the icon again Screen record (which will be red this time), or press the status bar at the top of your iPhone and select to stop.

Where to find screenshots?
To view your basic screenshot, open the application Pictures on your iPhone. The same goes for the screen recordings that you make. The only exception concerns drop -down screenshots, which are saved in the application Files.
How to share a screenshot ?
Several options are available to you. You can press the screenshot sticker, crop it or modify it, then press the button Share. If you have to share it later, display the screenshot in the application Pictures And use the sharing function from there.
How to make a screenshot with scroll in applications that do not support it ?
I like to use a free application called Tailor. You can delete the watermark that appears at the bottom of the combined image by buying the application if it bothers you. The key to using Tailor is to take your screenshots so that there are overlapping areas. This allows the application to combine, stick, the images one after the other without rendering problem.
