Information we collect

1. Introduction

Google Payments (or “Google Pay”) is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google” or “We”), whose address is Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

2. Basic requirements

To use Google Pay, you must:

• have the required age indicated here;
• be legally capable of concluding an agreement that binds you to Google from a legal point of view.

(a) Types of payment methods

The availability of a payment method or its compatibility with Google Pay may depend on your country of residence and other factors. (b) Save a payment method

You can save a payment method in your Google account through several user interfaces, including the Google Pay website, the Google Chrome browser, the website or the application of the payment method, or via a Google product or service such as Google Play Store. (c) Role of Google

Except when Google or its affiliated companies are issuing the method of payment, neither Google, nor its affiliated companies are stakeholders in contracts, confidentiality rules or other conditions of use in connection with your payment methods. No provision of these conditions of use modify the conditions of the transmitter. In the event of inconsistency between these conditions of use and the conditions of use of the transmitter of your payment method or its confidentiality rules, these conditions of use govern the relationship between Google and you concerning Google Pay, and those of the transmitter determine the relationship between him and you. (d) Save a virtual card number or associated third party account

The following additional conditions apply when you use Google Pay to save a virtual card number or a associated third -party account in your Google account.

Once you have started to add a payment method to Google Pay and provided the information requested by Google and/or the transmitter of your payment method, Google Pay checks if the payment method can be used with Google Pay. The payment methods of a participating transmitter are not necessarily eligible. When you have added the payment method, Google Pay registers a virtual card number representing the real number of your payment card or binding your third party account associated with your Google account for the use described in section 5 below.

The virtual card numbers you record using Google Pay are different from the associated payment cards recorded in your Google account. Unlike a virtual card number, a payment card is generally not displayed in the form of an illustration resembling the associated physical card. In addition, it cannot be used to carry out store transactions using “NFC” technology (near field communication). However, when you add a virtual card number, Google Pay can also record the associated payment card in your Google account.

(e) Delete payment methods

5. Transactions using payment methods

(a) On Google properties

Google Pay can allow you to launch a payment transaction with a “seller”, defined as (i) an affiliated company from Google or (ii) any other seller taking part in one or more of the Google market places (see this list ) which offers to sell you products or services, and which asks Google or its affiliated companies to process payment transactions in its name.

You acknowledge and accept that your transaction with a seller (“Google transaction”) is concluded exclusively between you and the seller. When you make a Google transaction, Google can present your available payment methods.
