Google One: new Google Drive storage rates, photos, gmail

Following the announcement of Google in 2018 concerning the transformation of Google Drive into Google One, the service is being deployed in France. Proposed initially to subscribers of a Drive account, One allows users to bring Drive, Gmail and Google Photos together in a single platform. However, this storage has a price, and Google details this grid today.

Google revisits prices for one storage on one

With the launch of Google One, the firm takes the opportunity to refresh its tariff grid compared to what it offered on Google Drive. Thus, the monthly subscription of € 1.99 per 100 GB disappears, just like that of € 9.99 for 1 to. Now we will have to refer to the following subscriptions:

• 200 GB for € 2.99
• 2 TB for € 9.99
• 10 TB for € 99.99
• 20 TB for € 199.99
• 30 TB for € 299.99

The free 15 GB offer is still available.

An offer that can be shareable up to 5 users

The novelty of Google One is that the platform is now accessible up to 5 people from the same family. Each user will have their 15 GB storage space. For offers with additional storage, the capacity will be decreed between the users present. For example, for a family of 4 people with a 200 GB subscription, each will have 15 GB + 50 GB.

Google One arrives in France: here are the prices of new subscriptions

The new subscription service Google One Starts to be offered to some Google Drive customers. Here is Prices in France and the new options for this new service.

Google unveiled its new Google One service at the start of the year in the United States. It should in order to centralize the Cloud storage subscription, used by services such as Google Drive, Gmail or Google Photos, but also offer additional services to subscribers, such as Discounts on the Play Store.

Some subscribers to Google Drive in France began to receive an email offering them to go to Google One, a sign that the service should soon be available for everyone in France.

New prices and storage offers from Google One in France

The launch of Google One is accompanied by new rates and storage offers, compared to what the firm offered with Google Drive. Here are the monthly prices offered:

• 200 GB for 2.99 euros (previously: 100 GB for 1.99 euros)
• 2 TB for 9.99 euros (previously: 1 TB for 9.99 euros)
• 10 TB for 99.99 euros
• 20 TB for 199.99 euros
• 30 TB for 299.99 euros

Note that the package at 20 euros, which included 2 TB of storage space, disappeared. The free offer continues to include 15 GB of storage.

A sharing space with the family

This is one of the big news brought by Google. The storage space is now shareable with up to 5 family members. Unlike Microsoft Office offers, where each member benefits from a complete storage space, here the space is shared between the members:

• Each member benefits from 15 dedicated GB
• Additional storage is deducted from the common pot of shared subscription

So with a paying subscription of 100 GB, each member benefits from 15 free and reserved GB, then 85 GB shared.
