On your Chromebook, you can add and open applications from web store chrome.

Important : Chrome Applications of Chrome Web Store are only compatible with chromebooks and will no longer work under Windows, Mac or Linux after December 2022. You can always use the extensions and themes available in the web store chrome.

Add a shortcut to a website in the form of an application

If you use Windows, Linux or a Chromebook, you can add a shortcut to a website on the internet in the form of application in chrome.

1. Open Chrome.
2. Access the website you want to add as an application.
3. In the upper right corner, click more .
4. Click on More tools.
5. Click on To create a shortcut.
6. Enter a name for the shortcut, then click on Create.

Add and open applications to your Chromebook

1. Open the web store chrome.
2. Look for the desired application.
3. Click on Add to Chrome.

If the URL of an application begins with http: // , You can open it in another browser. For that, proceed as following :

1. Open Chrome.
2. Open the application, then check the URL.
3. Copy it and stick it to the address bar of another browser to open the application.

To display and open your applications on a Chromebook, click on the application launcher icon .

You can install applications on your Chromebook from the Chrome Web Store, follow up on installed apps and delete it when you wish.

Important : Applications of web store chrome are only compatible with chromebooks. They will no longer work under Windows, Mac or Linux after December 2022.

Install and uninstall applications

1. Access Chrome Web Store.
2. Find and select the application you want to install.
3. Click on Add to Chrome or, if it is a paid application, on Buy.

You can use your phone to remotely install appropriate applications on your computer:

1. Connect to Chrome.
2. In Chrome, search for the application of your choice.
3. Press on Add to the office.
4. In the new window, press Add to the office.

The next time you open Chrome on your computer, an alert will tell you that an application has been installed from a remote device. In some cases, you will also be informed of the authorizations required to use the application. To grant the authorizations necessary for its use, click on Activate the application.

1. On the developer’s website, click on Add to Chrome To install the application.
2. Examine and accept authorizations.
3. To finish the installation, open a new tab.

To remove a chrome application:

1. At the bottom left of your Chromebook screen, click on the application launcher .
2. Right click on the application to be deleted.
3. Select Uninstall.
